David Martin Bringley, 74, of Santa Maria, California, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
He was born on May 10, 1952 in New York to Robert Lee Bringley and Jane Elizabeth Haag. David attended college, where he became an X-Ray Technician.
He found peace along the shoreline, where the sound of crashing waves and the warmth of the sun brought him happiness. The beach was his favorite place to relax, reflect, and spend time with those he loved. David also had a deep love for horses. He admired their strength, spirit, and beauty, and spending time around them brought him great joy. Above all else, he will be remembered for his love of family, his kind heart, and his ability to find happiness in life's simple pleasures. He touched the lives of many with his warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he met.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Guadalupe Lopez Gurrola, step-sons Carlos Lopez (Kim), Oscar Lopez, and Marc Lopez, his grandchildren, Matthew Scruggs (Angel), Marc Lopez Jr., Andrew Lopez, Samantha Lopez, Carlos Lopez Jr. and Lilly Lopez. David was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2026 in the Chapel of Magner-Maloney Funeral Home. Mass will be 1:00 p.m. also on Monday, June 1, 2026 at St. Louis deMontfort Church. Graveside Services will be 12:00 Noon on Friday, June 5, 2026 in the Santa Maria Cemetery, South Lawn.
David will be deeply missed and deeply remembered by all who knew him.
