Our Beloved Queen, Jennie Martinez Cabrera, 96, went to be with our Lord on January 14th, 2026. She lived a full and beautiful life. She passed away peacefully at home, as was her wish.
Jennie was born on December 27th, 1929 in Peoria, Arizona to Gabino and Felipa Martinez. The youngest of eight sisters, the family then moved to California. She married Jose Cabrera, and had six children: Rosie Cabrera Partida, Linda Garcia, Joe Cabrera Jr., Johnny Cabrera, Sara Cabrera, Jimmy Cabrera, and raised Nicole and Joanna.
She was widowed at 35 and later met Francisco (Mando) Reyes and lived happily together for 57 years. Jennie was a loving mother who always provided for her family. She loved to cook, spend time with her family, make tamales, do gardening, listen to Mexican and country music, go to the beach, go fishing, camping and play bingo.
Jennie is survived by her children Rosie, Joe, Johnny, Jimmy, Nicole and her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and one special best friend, Sylvia.
Preceded in death by her two daughters Linda, Sara and her viejito Francisco.
Jennie prayed for her family, always putting others first. She will always be remembered for her storytelling and beautiful memories.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026 in the Chapel of Magner-Maloney Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Santa Maria Cemetery, South Lawn.
