RAYMOND CANALES NORIEGA
1944 - 2026
Raymond Canales Noriega, Sr., 82, was welcomed into eternal peace on October 26, 2026. Raymond was born on March 08,1944 in Santa Maria, CA. He was the oldest of his six siblings born to Julian R. Sr. and Esther C. Noriega.
Raymond attended Guadalupe Joint Union School and graduated from Santa Maria High School in 1963. After high school he went to Allan Hancock College for a few years and then was drafted into the United States Army from 1965-1967.
He married Catalina Jimenez on June 15,1968. They were married 58 years.
Raymond enjoyed a long career as an aerospace mechanic and eventually retired from United Paradyne Corporation in 2012. He enjoyed the simple things in life, being with his family, long walks, working in his yard, a good cup of coffee with his cookies, and old re-runs of The Golden Girls. He was a lover of sports and an avid Cowboys football fan. Above all else, he truly loved being around his family.
Raymond is survived by his wife Catalina, his daughter Susan and son-in-law Eric Pratts, his son Raymond Jr. and daughter-in-law Kristta, his son Christopher and daughter-in-law Adriana, his daughter Judy and son-in-law Eric Weaklim and his son Aaron. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Julian R. Sr. and Esther C. Noriega,
his sister Juanita and his grandson Dalton.
Mass will be held for Raymond at St. Mary of the Assumption Church on Friday, November 13th at 9:30am.
A reception to celebrate Raymond’s life will follow.
