In Loving Memory of

Gabriela Judith Anacona Rojas

January 17, 1940 – August 6, 2026

It is with profound sadness and immeasurable love that we announce the passing of Gabriela Judith Anacona Rojas, who peacefully left this world on August 6, 2026, at the age of 86.

Gabriela lived a remarkable life filled with strength, determination, adventure, and love.

Her journey took her from Chile to Venezuela and eventually to the United States,

building a life and leaving her mark everywhere she went.

From 1958 to 1973, Gabriela worked in the fashion industry as a backstage manager and buyer for major fashion companies and exhibitions. In 1976, she moved to Venezuela, where she welcomed her only daughter, Denisse Rinetta Anacona Rojas. Venezuela quickly became a place she loved and called home.

There, Gabriela studied cosmetology, earned her license,

and worked with schools throughout Caracas providing haircuts for students.

In 1985, Gabriela and her family moved to the United States in search of new opportunities.

She first worked as a full-time nanny and later became a distribution representative for a book company in Roselle Park, New Jersey. She especially loved working with schools and the people she met along the way.

In 2010, she proudly became a United States citizen, one of her greatest accomplishments.

Gabriela loved music, dancing, travelling, good food, laughter, and spending time with the people she loved. Some of Denisse's most treasured memories are their girls' nights together—going out to dinner, sharing a drink, listening to music, laughing, and simply enjoying each other's company.

Above all, Gabriela was a devoted mother to her only daughter, Denisse,

and the cherished Nonna of Gabriel and Daniel, whom she loved with all her heart.

In her later years, Gabriela faced Alzheimer's disease. Although the disease took away many things, it could never take away the love between Gabriela and her family. Denisse remained by her mother's side through the final chapter of her life, just as her mother had been there from the very beginning of hers.

She saw me take my first breath, and I had the privilege of holding her hand as I watched her take her last.

From my first breath to your last, Mom, there was love.

Gabriela's strength lives on in her daughter, her love lives on in her grandsons,

and her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

May you now be at peace, free from Alzheimer's and surrounded by the music you loved.

Dance again, Mom.

Until we meet again.
