INEZ M. ARMENTA

1942 - 2026

Our Mother,

Born on October 31, 1942, to Vicente Guerrero and Carmen Guerrero, went home to be with the Lord on June 14th, 2026. She was born and raised in Guadalupe, California in 1956. In her early childhood years, she lived in Nipomo. She was taught from an early age about Jesus Christ and had a very strong faith in him teaching her about humility, humbleness, and kindness. She was the youngest of 10 kids and had the best sense of humor. She was boldly honest, loved to make you laugh, and was one of a kind. She grew up learning how to cook and clean, loved her brother and sisters, and most of all, her beautiful mother. She went on to run for Queen of Guadalupe in 1958 and won just as her two sisters did as she was blessed to do so in God’s favor. She developed hard work and ethics from her mother along with her strong, faithful upbringing in Catholic Church. She went to start her life at the young age of 18 when she married Christy Ortega. Shortly after she had 2 children, Sylvia and Mark Anthony Ortega. She later divorced and went on to marry Rosario Lopez Armenta and had Rosario Lopez Armenta II, Stacy Armenta Araujo, Ernest Armenta, Stephanie Ortega, and Sylvia Torres. Later, she divorced and remained single where she lived to enjoy her family, kids, and her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was our daycare provider while we worked and we are so, so grateful for the beautiful memories of joy she not only brought to our children, but the love and happiness it brought her. She loved and had a special bond with her brother Kelly and sisters Queto and Irma. She loved to visit her sister Irma, her sister with a kind soul, as she called her. She loved being home, watching her countless action movies or her favorite comedies. She enjoyed decorating her little home as the stylish mother she was. She was one of the best cleaners, loved Royal Blue, which became her favorite color, she cooked the best Chili Verde and Chili Colorado, and loved to dance and dress up. Our mother had a lot of wisdom. She was smart in history and loved Jesus Christ all while having a genuinely kind heart. She was so grateful to God for seeing her 2 sons grow up to be strong, hard working men and great fathers and husbands. Her daughters, amazing hard-working mothers and wives. She loved her amazing daughters-in-law and sons-in-law. It was a blessing for her to live and see. Thank you mamma for teaching us about love and that through perseverance, faith, and hard work, you can be anything you set your mind to. Thank you for reminding us that with God, all things are possible. She loved her children and family with all her heart and was so proud of her 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was their biggest cheerleader. We will cherish all the memories, funny jokes, and most of all, your loving, kind heart. You will be missed greatly, but until we see you again, never goodbye. Love you and thank you always for being our mother, Nana. We love you always. Thank you Jesus, we give you all the glory for providing us with such a beautiful, loving mother.

Survived by her children: Sylvia, Ernest, Stephanie, Chito, and Stacy. Her sisters Irma Reyes and Concha. Her brother Victor Guerrero, and all her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Proceeded in death by her parents, Vicente and Carmen Guerrero, brothers Kelly Guerrero, Bucho Guerrero, Quate Guerrero, sister Queto Sullivan, and her son Mark Anthony Ortega.
