Rosario "Rosie" Catayas passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026, in Santa Maria, CA at the age of 101. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray Catayas.
She is survived by her children: Cathi Baysa (granddaughters Marisa & Chalise) Eddi Meehan (granddaughter Christina; grandsons David & Daniel; great-grandchildren Brynne, Christian, Brooklynn, Nicholas, Justin, Crystal, Logan and Micaela; and great-great-grandchildren Joseph, Sophia and Milo); Judy Chadrow (grandchildren Robyn, Macky, William, Ryan; great-grandchildren Hailey, Alex, Daryan, Nouria and Aya); Ray Catayas Jr.(grandchildren Dominic and Katrina; great-grandchildren Zephyra and Hezekiah).
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m.; followed by a Vigil Service at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, in the Chapel of Magner-Maloney Funeral Home. Mass will be 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Interment will follow in the Santa Maria Cemetery, Original Section.
